Another question about the search function

I'm sure there's a reason, but is there any way we could change the search function to allow words under 3 letters? I can't do a search for anything similar to "Glock 36" because it's under the minimum. I can search for "G36" but it's rarely typed in as that. Just wondering, it'd make it a lot more user friendly, but perhaps too taxing on the server. Thanks guys.
