It seems Bond Arms made a 1911 style pistol that is designed to fire a polymer round called .450 autobond.
It is a 100 grain .451 projectile with a muzzle velocity of 2300fps.

This round is supposed to be an improved frangible self defense round with the muzzle energy of a rifle.

Bond arms claims that their gun can also fire standard 230grain
45acp with no modifications.

To me this sounds really neat. Any thoughts?

That's a hotter round than even the RBCD 90gr .45 ACP at 2036 fps / 828 flbs. (They claim 2300 fps / 1174 ftlbs.)

BUT they say the ammo is not recommended for use in other pistols, which, I'm sure everybody will happily ignore as they run it through their .45s....

I didn't see prices on their website....

Looks pretty interesting at first glance. I'd like more details & a shooting impression or 2 or 3.
