Installing new sights

How hard is it to install new sights without a sight pusher? Whats the easiest way? The handgun is a Steyr M40

Oh and I'm asking because my local smith wants $40 and it will take over a month since he's backed up. I was told $40 is too much?

As long as you have a sight pusher, it shouldn't be that difficult. You may wanna shop around. The place I buy sights from will install for free w/ purchase.
