what air guns do you own/owned?

As is the case for many of us, I was into airguns before real ones. Which airgun if any got you into it? For me it was a marksman 1010 repeater. A 1911 sized spring powered BB gun. Still have it and the Red Ryder I got as a gift.

I have a Benjamin-Sheridan .22 pump pellet rifle. It is just the thing for rabbits.

For me it was the Daisy Powerline series. I think I owned two or three of them in all. Looking back I was a pretty good shot with an airgun. I think they are good tools to learn how to shoot as long as they are treated like real guns. I know my beloved 10 pumps would do a little more than sting if you got hit by one.

1) Webley Hurricane .177 w/laser
2) Webley Tempest .22 w/open sights
3) Crosman 1377C .177 (registered as a restricted handgun in Canada)
I got into airguns for shooting in the house. They don't tear up the funiture as bad as my 9mm ...

Over the years I've owned:
BSA Supersport .22. A wee bit too powerful for it's size, possibly. The stock bolts are always loosening, and I actually broke them in use once. It's in the safe at my folks' house, for if I come over without anything to shoot.
RWS 34 in .177
Daisy 717
Some Chinese underlever POS. (traded off)
Daisy "Power"line in .177 and .22. The .22 in particular has a serious lack of oooomph, even after a rebuild. When I got it it had ~20 pellets stuck in the barrel, that needed to be drilled out.
Crosman 120 (traded off)
Crosman 1377 (traded off)
Crosman 2250 (I think it is) .22 pistol, that I intend to hotrod sometime.
One or two Daisy BB guns as a kid, one of which I used to shoot out the side windows of my Dad's truck.
And a blowgun.
The RWS 34 is the one I actually shoot most.

I only have one. A very nice German made Beeman HW97k in .20 caliber. With a Bushnell 4-12x AO scope. It shoots great. It will really knock a starling off the garage.

Jrob,
My air guns ARE real ones...
Started with a Daisy Red Ryder type...
Then wore out two Daisy 880 Powerlines...
Got a .20 Cal (5mm) Sheridan Silver Streak for a birthday or Christmas...
Bought a Crosman 1377 in college to keep the processed mulberries off my car.
After college I bought a .20 Cal (5mm) Beeman R1 (Americanized Weihrauch HW-80). It's very hard on crows.
I shot a Webley Tempest for awhile but traded it for other airgun related stuff.
Had an RWS 5G recoilless pistol for awhile but traded it.
My wife bought me a Beeman R7 (Americanized Weihrauch HW-30S) for Christmas a few years ago.
S&W CO2 revolver--nice gun but I couldn't get into it--sold it after shooting it a bit.
Beeman P1 (Weihrauch HW-45)
$25 Chinese B3--it was too cheap to pass up--what a mistake.
Feinwerkbau 150--sold it to a fellow in Colorado.
Feinwerkbau 300S Universal
Feinwerkbau 65 MkI

My first is still with me - a Crossman 760. I also have a RWS Sig Sauer lookalike, a Farco air-shotgun and a Rooskie AK-74 lookalike airgun.

A Crosman 1077 (my favorite) 12 shot repeater.
Crosman 760b pneumatic pump.
Red Ryder BB gun.
S&W model 76? Or is it 86? The .22 caliber M41 lookalike.
All very neat air guns, quite fun.

Bought one of these a couple of years ago. It is styled similar to the 1911 and I even put 1911 grips on it with a very slight modification. They are single shot top lever cocking. It's extremely accurate, at 25 ft (length of garage) I can shoot a dime size hole in the target.
Mine is .177 cal, they can be had in other cal. as well. Low setting is around 680 FPS and high rating is around 900 FPS. Plenty of accuracy and power to dispatch pests/rodents. The come with great adjustible triggers and are really good to practice with a 1911 design.
Also have a Powerline 760 with BB gun scope on it and it's a lot of fun to take plinking even though the accuracy isn't great.

hi all,
Interesting thread, I have been thinking of getting an airgun to allow work on improving aim at home/garage without 15-mile trip to the range. Are pumped guns much more hassle than co2 cartridge? what about BB vs. pellet? how much must one lay out to get a decent level of accuracy at 15 to 25 feet? models to consider?
any help appreciated.

It really depends on how much you want to spend and what it will be used for.

The Benjiman Sheridan .177 or .20 cal are pump up guns. I had one for over 25 yrs. Sold it and bought a new model, then found an old one like the one I had and bought it for $40.00. Don`t bother with c02, EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!
For a beginner, try an RWS 34 in .177 or .22 cal, break bbl. The above mentioned B/S guns are great also, you just have to pump them. What ever you buy, use good quality pellets only.

---Crosman 2200 multi-pump rifle, that now has an old stainless steel barrel from a Ruger 10/22 on it. I had a leftover contoured factory Ruger barrel, a Dremel and I was bored. It "works" but not real great; the firearm bore is somewhat larger than the airgun's .22 caliber and the pellet skirt just barely engages the rifling. Hefts nicely though!
---A Crosman 2250 shoulder-stocked pistol. I had a reason to buy this, but I forget now what it was. I've never shot it much.
---A Daisy 777 target pistol, later sold off. I never shot it much either.
---A Beeman RX-1 .177 (Weirach HW-90 "gas-ram" to you Euro peoples!) w/pump and the Beeman/Hakko 2-7x32mm lit reticle scope, gun and scope are both very nice. Has been shot a lot.
---A IZH46M target air pistol, very nice also. Way better than the Daisy 777 was.
....
If I could get another one I'd kind of like to get a pre-charged rifle, but that's way on down my "to do" list. When I coughed up the money for the Beeman, there really were no cheaper PCP rifles at all, just the high-priced Euro guns.

Oddly enough, my interest in 'regular' firearms led me to an interest in airguns. I've only got one- a Baikal IZH 46M target air pistol. It's ugly, but exceedingly accurate.

My mom taught me to shoot with her Polish Luzhnik 46 .177. I wore it out...
Now I have a scoped Gamo Shadow 1000, also .177. It pushes the pellet very close to supersonic. Kills a crow instantly and is very accurate up to around 30 meters. The trigger is horrible, though.

First was a Daisy Red Ryder which I got when I was about nine. That means it is almost 60 years old and still shoots great. In fact, used it in my last Hunter Ed class for live-fire exercises.:)
Also have a Daisy "Winchester 94" which looks nice but is a pretty poor shooter. The trigger pull is so stiff I can not get any accuracy with it.

I've had two, and still own one of them.
A Daisy Powerline .177 pellet/BB repeater, with a decent scope on it. Put many soda cans/bottles to their "grave". Gave it away to a friend who was good at fixing things, since the barrel "lug" wore out and the barrel would come sliding out of the frame when fired.
A Crosman 357W6 .177 pistol which I still own, and set up an indoor range for rainy day fun. Taught my girlfriend how to shoot by drawing caricatures (pen "drawings") of the co-workers that she couldn't stand and setting them up as targets.
Today, while browsing around a "variety shop," ended up buying a soft-air/plastic BB gun that resembled a Beretta Mini-Cougar. It looked kinda cool and was only $2.50. Only problem is, it will only go through paper, as I watched it ricochet off of a paper plate.
I too believe they're great training and recreational fun, for young and old alike.

Currently:
Sheridan Blue Streak, 5mm
Gamo 440, 4.5mm
Gamo 220, 4.5mm
Gamo Shadow, 4.5mm
RWS 38, 4.5mm
RWS 52, 4.5mm
Gamo Compact, 4.5mm
Gamo P-800, 4.5mm
RWS CP225, 4.5mm
Gamo (whatever the model number of the 4inch plastic CO2 revolver)
And a couple of BB guns to plink with...

Yeah, I had a 1010... And about another 20 various air guns...
Currently have a Winchester 1000x that does very well for it's price. And a Walther CP99 which isn't so great for the price.
