I voted early in CO

I was pleased to see that my county is taking aggressive steps to prevent voter fraud. I had to show an ID from a list that was mailed out before the election. I provided a driver's license. The poll workers made a copy of my ID, printed a statement from the voter database that had my name and address and I had to sign that it was correct.

There has been much publicized about suspicious voter registration activity and the State Attorney General, Ken Salazar (who is running for a US Senate seat) did nothing to investigate. Now, with just days to go before the election he has recused himself from the case. There should be plenty of evidence to prosecute people registering multiple times with ficticious addresses.

I believe voter fraud disenfranchises my vote and I hope these people should be prosecuted aggressively.

Colorado, intimidating and disenfranchising the voting rights of the dead.

Strictly speaking, only people can be disenfranchised, but you've got the right idea. Given the number of representatives of the Democratic (sic) party in state office, I doubt we'll see many aggressive prosecutions—but we sure as @#$%^&! should!

By the way, the elections people said that the early turn out was high...over 30% by noon on Friday, the last day of early voting.

I stopped by downtown the other day to request a new absentee ballot as I never received the first one that they sent out. They gave me the option of doing early voting as I'd coincidentally stopped by on the same day.

Once I realized they were using the Diebold voting machines I politely declined to do the early vote thing and requested that they send out another absentee ballot.
