What is your personal highest round count in a pistol? What pistol, and have you experienced any part breakage or malfunctions?
Thanks?

I've only started buying autoloaders in the past 4 years. My P32 has over 1000rnds without a single breakage. The last 200 or so rounds have been what amounts to +P 32ACP handloads.
My "new to me" Beretta 92F has untold amount of rounds prior to my purchase and about 400 by me alone. No problems so far.

18,000 rounds (plus a few before I started counting) on a Taurus PT99AF. No actual breakages, but I replaced the springs several times and replaced the locking block. Of course, no way to know if anything would have actually failed or broken or flew back in my face. :p
Only real complaint is it shoots very far to the left. Even with the sight adjusted all the way over.
I've put 5,000 rounds through a few different 1911s and have never experienced an actual breakage in any of them either.

I put over 90k rounds through a M29. After setting the barrel back 3x, 4 new hands and 3 stars and a lot of other parts I can't remember. After the top strap was gas cut past the half way point and I didn't think it was safe to shoot anymore I retired it.

I have a Colt 1911 that has well over 10,000 rounds through it. I don't know, maybe 20k ?
Have I had malfunctions ? Yes.
Have I had parts break ? No, but I have had parts wear out.
If you have anyone tell you that they have fired a similar number of rounds and never had a malfunction and never had parts wear out, RUN. Anything else they have to say isn't worth listening to.

I have a Sig-Sauer 228 9mm, my only auto handgun.
Before I got it it had about 2000 rounds through it.
I personally put about 4k rounds through it. No malfuncations or worn out parts at all.
I did change the springs after I bought it just because I thought it'd be a good idea. Even though I trust the seller, there's no telling how many rounds were really put through it before I got it because he bought it as a police trade in (probably few rounds from the officer :neener: ).
That's not a lot of rounds compared to many shooters, but its the highest of what I own.

I know it's at least a few cases!!! ;)
It still goes bang every time I squeeze the trigger!!! :D

Sorry about the above post, I evidently didn't understand the Handguns:Autoloaders part.:uhoh:
Regarding autos, I've got a 1911 with over 35k through it and many new parts, a Beretta 96 with 14k and a couple of new parts, a MKII with 25k and many new parts. I like to shoot a lot.:D

my glock 19 has over 69000 round
my kimber 1911 has over 41000
both still get around 500-700 rounds each week depending on which one i choose to shoot comp with. only minor problems, like springs and magazines have to be replaced

S&W M41, a bit over 40,000 rounds.
Stoppages: occasionally stovepipes. Had a few failures to feed.
No part breakages, but some mechanical issues. Had scope mount screws back out, scope ring screw stripped. Red dot sight died at the same time scope mount screw backed out. Magazine lip crushed (owner error). Replaced recoil spring once a year.

The first USP .45 did not last through the first trip to the range, but none of the others did either, which was why they were all recalled.
The second lasted a little over 20K before the left rear frame rail broke off.
The Glock 23 saw at least 40K rounds before the trigger reset spring broke. When I looked inside I noticed the locking block had split in half, front to back!:what:
The Kimber has close to 30K in .45 and over 20K in .22lr and only needed a slide stop.
I like to shoot.:)

Has to be an old Colt Huntsman, and I don't even know how many thousands. Close second is a Ruger MK II Stainless Target 6 7/8 bbl, going on maybe 30k. I'm thinking about replacing the springs in that Ruger, although it functions flawlessly.

Diamondback 45,184 rnds
Springfield P9ultra 6859 rnds
Les Baer PII 6326 rnds
Ruger mk 1 5250 rnds
S&W K22 Master 5125 rnds
Sig 229 sport 5039 rnds
DW 722 4981 rnds
LB HWML 10mm 4353 rnds
Those are the ones over 4000 rnds, I got a lot with less. The diamondback was my only handgun for about 15 to 20 years, so it got all the wear and tear. It has had 2 trips to smiths and one loop back to colt. I broke the cylinder bolt spring, had it "tuned up" once (springs) and had colt take out the endshake and re-time it.

I once put 30,000 rds of cast bullet and bullseye reloads thru a Series 70 Colt 1911, in one summer. I didn't even change recoil springs. I had a couple of (real) surplas mags fall apart. I had an extractor break a hook, while I was shooting wax rds, but I caught it and replaced it. I had a firing pin stop crack, and I caught that. I broke a finger on a collet bushing. I had no malfunctions ,but when I noticed it, I replaced it, too. I had a pc break off of on of the lower barrel lugs, but it had no effect. The loads were half 200 gr, half 230 grs, 750 fps. I cleaned the pc less than a dozen times during that 30,000 rds.
Ross Siefried put .5 million rds of full charge stuff, 230 gr lrn, 850 fps, thru a pair of 1911's, over a 4 year span during his try for the IPSC World title. He had the barrels replaced every 50k rds, due to external wear, and had the slides tightened. He never said what all parts broke. A full charge .45 load beats up a gun a lot worse than does a 9mm load.

About 13,000 through Tanfoglio EA40, .40SW, sold as Witness, (first Witness 40 in the states), no parts breakage, replaced recoil spring at 10,000 just because. Some minor holster wear, (carried every single day for well over 12 years.), so the finish also beats most I have seen.

If you have anyone tell you that they have fired a similar number of rounds and never had a malfunction and never had parts wear out, RUN. Anything else they have to say isn't worth listening to.I don't know if I agree with that. I think that there are several guns on the market that would make the 10K mark with high-quality ammo and never hiccup or need anything other than a new recoil spring.
In fact, I'll bet you could put 10K rounds through a Mak, never get a malfunction and never even change the recoil spring.

My XD9 has at least 10,000 rounds thru it since I bought it used, so I'm not sure what the round count actually is. It wasn't too worn looking when I got it so it might have had 1000 or so before I bought it.
I did replace the recoil spring after the first 5 cases of Blazer 115's I shot thru it just for kicks. Didn't really need it I bet.
No malfunctions or anything like that. Just keep it lightly oiled and have not seen any rust or unusual wear.

I have a blued ruger MKII 4" taper barrrel model 22lr, bought in 1987, it probably has 50,000+ rounds through it. It still shoots good, replaced the springs a couple of times.
I expect another 100,000 from it at least.

Had a Keltec p11 that I put 11,500+ rds thru. Had to replace the recoil springs twice and the guide rod once, but the only time it ever went to the factory was to get parkerized.
My Mitchell Trophy II was used when I bought it, but I've got 8,250 rds thru it so far with out replacing anything.

I've got about 2500 through my FN Forty-Nine. No malfunctions at all.
Got about 2000 through my CZ-75B. No malfunctions at all.
Got over 4500 through my .380 commercial Bulgarian Makarov. A few FTE when it was new, but I attributed those to break in. No failures since except for some questionable ammo. Cheap gun show ammo can choke up any gun.
All guns are the way they came out of the box. No parts replaced and no repairs done save for a drop free mag brake on the CZ. Not like that effects the operation of the action though.

I have a Ruger Standard Automatic (aka Mk1) that I've shot countless bricks of .22lr through since the 1970's. That piece easily has 100,000 rounds through it.

Had a Randall .45 and put 67,000 rounds downrange.....mostly 200 grain h&g's. Only blew off the front sight......the gun still shot better than I could see, and looked new, except for that burnt in gunpowder residue on the muzzle end....unfortunately it was stolen, or I'd probably still be shooting it.

Last weekend, I cross the 60K mark in my Wilson CQB. Most of the ammo fired through it has been Blazer .45 acp. I have had 2 parts break. The first was the barrel bushing that cracked around 42K. The second was the ambi safety around 55K. I also replaced the barrel at 45K because the original barrel seem quite shy of most rifling with just little bits left near the muzzle end. I have replaced many recoil springs and a few firing pin springs.

I got about 800 into my CZ75B Compact before I realized the slide stop was bending, so I changed the recoil spring for a heavier one. Been cranking along ever since, I should be at 1500 or so now.
My Walther P22 is around 4000 but the little...gah, needed pampering all the way. If it didn't shoot so sweetly I'd chuck it :) I have it refined down now so the only problem is the safety retainer pin, if keeps working it's way out of the slide.

Good grief some of you guys shoot a lot. I am lucky to get 25k-30k down range in a whole year. Other than routine items like springs, I got about 30,000 through a Les Baer PII then a crack developed by the link. Got about 40K though an STI Open gun then it started barfing all over the place. Had it reworked and shot another 20K before replacing it with a new blaster.

I compete with a Glock 35 in Limited and L10. I got it not long after they came out. I have no idea how many rounds it has downrange, but I have never had a single problem with it. I shoot ~12 to 15K per year using a 165 gr Montana Gold bullet and 6.6 gr of Unique. I take it apart once or twice a year and clean it and inspect the parts.

I don't keep much track of round count, other than a rough estimate on reloading components.
I'd say I have well over 7K in my Beretta 96FS. It's had no problems. I have installed new springs for the heck of it though.
Probably around 5K or more in my Redhawk .44 Mag. New springs there too, again just cause I felt like it.
I've put 4 or 5K through My Mark II...runs like a champ. No replacement parts at all, unless you count the extended slide release I installed recently, again, just because. Used it in Pin Shooting competition for a few years, so it was used hard for awhile.
Only gun I had to actually replace parts on is my Grandfather's War Luger. But, heck...it's been through two World Wars...so replacing a few springs and the grips is a small price to pay to keep a piece of history running, wouldn't you say?

I have to guestimate but I'd say 7000 or so rounds through my Glock 24P. Next closest would be my Buckmark 5.5 Target with at least 5000. Nothing else I have comes close.
Almost forgot: No malfs in the Glock not directly related to bad reloads.
The Buckmark can have feeding problems if the mags aren't properly loaded or if the gun and mags get too dirty.

I have 40,000+ through an H&K USP9 Compact. The recoil spring assembly broke at 25K, but it didn't hinder operation and H&K replaced it with a new design that prevents the failure I had. The firing pin snapped in two around 30K and was replaced for free.
I have a CZ-75B with 30,000+ through it. The slide stop began failing at 18K, but I didn't realize what the problem was until 20K when it broke in half (the slide stop, not the gun).

Highest round count?
I have more than 85,000rds. through a Glock 20

No problems, I change the spring every 5,000rds and keep them clean.

75K+ through a Colt Series 70. At about 35-40K I replaced the slide stop after the projection that contacts the follower broke off. The gun would still function, but it wouldn’t lock back on the last shot. At about 50K the extractor died (hook broke off). At 75K rounds and probably twice that number of dry fires, the hammer/sear/disconnector were worn to the point that the hammer started to follow. The top end still functioned but the exterior of the barrel and the locking lugs of the slide were right about at the end of their service life. I had it rebuilt with a new top end and internals, and it’s still running fine.
Aside from the parts breakage it ran about 99.98 – one malfunction every 5000 rounds, almost all my reloads.

10K plus through my S&W M15 duty gun. These days, with more weapons, I try to spread it around a little.
Oh, you did say pistol. I don't count anymore, if I ever really did. And I don't get to the range as often as I should, or want to. Thousands, though. Mainly .22LR, and .45ACP, leaning towards the .22, because of the expense and ease of replacement.

I put 2,100 rounds through my G17 in two days for a class with no malfunctions at all, and that was with Blazer ammo. It has around 20,000 rounds total through it. Other than chipping off the magazine release by using aftermarket metal magazines, something that a Glock armourer fixed in 2 minutes for free, no parts have broken. I have put in a 3.5 pound connector, a NY1 trigger spring, and I change the recoil spring every 5-6K.
Oh, and it has Heinie sights on it.

Browning Hi-Power 1995 MkIII - 22,635 rds.

Add to that one broken slide stop around the 20k mark. Stoppages (mag/gun/lube related) - about 60-70 total.

6,000 rounds - 2 stoppages, both hard primers that fired with second try. No parts breakage.

Boy, I don't shoot anywhere near as much as some of you guys. I'm lucky if I put 4-5K through a variety of firearms each year. I also don't keep a running count - I tried to initially but didn't see any real value in it.
I have probably put 20K, or so, through my Colt 1911a1 S70 9mm over the years. No breakages that I can recall. I bought it used so I don't have a count for it prior to that. Only malfunctions have been minor (feedfails, now and again) and typically are traced to bad ammo(reloads) or mag problems.
I have put a similar number of rounds through my S&W M41 with similar performance.

My 19 year old Sig 220 has more than 75,000 rounds through it. The majority were light reloads with 230 gr SWC Meister bullets. I've had to replace the recoil, trigger return, decocker, and mag springs.
It's still as accurate as the day it was issued to me. I carried it as a duty gun for five years, bought it when I retired, went back to work for the courts and carried it another four years.
I had Robar put NP3 on it in `90. Since I never liked the plastic grips, I put Sig wood grips on it. They got dinged up, so now it sports Hogue un-checkered wood grips. A magazine article said putting wood grips on a Sig is like putting chrome rims on a Hummer. The photo was almost an exact duplicte of mine: Gray/silver colored slide and black frame. I like how it looks.
Working at a range for two years helped build up the high round count since I was shooting five or six days a week.
