Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine

Hi guys. I have always wanted an M1 carbine, but I always felt uneasy buying an older one. Anyhow I see Auto Ordinance is making them brand new at the Kahr plant. Does anyone have one, or any info on them? Hows the quality? fit? finish etc?
