What bullets would you use for a webley 455 converted to 45 colt

For clarification - -

Do you mean A Webley revolver converted to .45 Colt or .45 ACP? Never seen one of the former. I've seen several old S&W Hand Ejectors reamed out from .455 to .45 Colt. You got one of these?

I had pretty good luck shooting soft cast bullets dropped from an old Lyman 454424 mould, with lube finger-applied in the lubrication grooves. I didn't have a .454 or .455 sizer die. These worked well in both a Mark IV Webley converted to .45 ACP and also one in original .455.

Winchester used to sell their factory .45 Colt bullets as a loading component. They were a 250 or 255 gr soft lead RN with a tiny flat tip and a hollow base. Never tried them in a .455, but I've always thought that the soft lead and hollow base would allow the bullets to upset and fill the barrel well enough to get good accuracy.

Brian, I know you're an old hand at handloading, but I'd feel remiss in not mentioning this: If your revolver is a Webley, and has a round butt, only the Mark V was proofed for smokeless powder. If anything earlier, please use only fairly mild loads in it. If a Mk VI, you should be fine with any rational load. No offense intended. :p

Best,
Johnny
