I may be going to DisneyWorld, how can I get my gun there since I'm flying?

Summer of 2004 my mother-in-law is paying for a trip for my family and theirs to visit and hang out in DisneyWorld. I have the paperwork for an out of State CCW and will be sending that in.
What I want to know is, do they still alow guns in your luggage?

Yes, locked and unloaded in your checked baggage. The details of declaring it are different from airport to airport, and even from airline to airline. Best to call ahead and get the details before you fly.

umm....hate to burst your bubble, but they won't let any firearms in the park. they won't even let cops carry in the park unless they are in uniform and in performance of their duties.

I would just save everyone time and trouble and carry it onboard with me. Just bring a forged approval note signed by John Ashcroft.

There are no signs at WDW forbidding the carrying of firearms in the park.
There is no law in Florida forbidding the carrying of firearms in the park, either.
I assume you have a FL ccw though, right?

I'm getting an out of state ccw and I thought I remembered reading you can carry there. My only problem is getting my handgun down there since I'm flying :(.

I don't necessarily need a FL ccw since TN has a reciprocity with them.
