An amigo of mine recently acquired what I believe to be a first generation G17. He's heard about Glock doing upgrades, but was wondering what the upgrade consisted of, and approximate cost.

Thanks!

Michael

I know there was a firing pin upgrade combined with some other parts... go here to check the status of the current parts.

The rest of that site has some other information too. And so does

When I got my second gen G19, ( traded for it in 00. Was made in 91) I called Glock and gave the Tech guys the serial number. He informed me of the upgrades the pistol required and the only cost to me was shipping back to them. Took about 2 weeks and it was upgraded and ready to rock. Upgrades were done free of cost. They also replaced the mag spring and follower in my 15 round mag.

Walther P99 about 600 bucks. :neener:

Realisticly one of those mag wells and a lightning striker trigger would be helpful. Cost varies.
