In the last month I have broken my Keltec P-11 and my NAA Guardian .380. I think it is the trigger return spring on both of them. I am a big guy with big hands am I holding the trigger too long ????? I am really getting down on autoloaders , revolvers have never done this to me. It is very hard for me to trust an auto anymore. :cuss: :cuss: :confused: :confused:

Have you actually broken the springs or maybe a burr of some kind is preventing the triggers from resetting?
Have you torn them down and inspected? Look for scratches or marks indicating something is rubbing on the parts.

Yes I did tear down the P11 and the spring was broken,it was actually sticking out between the slide and the frame when it broke. I haven't taken the Guardian apart yet when it happened I was so frustrated I just put it away. I will though. I have dry fired my Guardian a lot , could this be part of the problem? I know some people say never dry fire some say they have done it a lot and nothing has happened to them. I haven't dry fired the P11 at all and it only had 150 rounds thru it when it broke.
Sometimes I catch myself not allowing the trigger to return all the way to the front before I pull again could this be putting the spring on a bind and causing undo strain?

Short sroking the trigger shouldn't be the problem because as the trigger starts back foward the spring is acually beginning to relax (decompress)which relieves the stress on it and the normal function of a spring is to just compress and decompress. Whether or not it fully decompresses before it compresses again is of no concern (once installed in the pistol it's under some small amount of compression when at rest)..
I have never been inside of the KT, but is it possible that the spring was installed wrong or possibly that was the wrrong spring? Most springs in pistols are held captive by some means. Even when if they break you won't see it untill you tear it down and it can then escape. I would call the KT factory on that one.

You may just have gotten a couple lemons. It happens, even with wheelguns.
