Can anyone suggest a good duty holster for a large frame revolver? I'm a big fan of Safariland but they don't make anything that fits an N-frame. Level II or III would be fantastic, but Level I is okay if it's a good quality holster.

Thanks in advance!

Just a guess, but I would think that A.E. Nelson or Tex Shoemaker could fix ya up.

I think my .45 Colt 625 Mountain Gun would be a hoot to carry as a duty gun.

Thanks for you help! Have you ever seen or used any of these holsters?

You can't go wrong with http://www.mitchrosen.com

I used to recommend Kramer Leather until I ordered a paddle holster for a pre-agreement Smith & Wesson N frame revolver. The holster doesn't fit the gun at all well, and the so-called "customer service" was horrendous.

I bought a Dillon holster for my S&W Model 610 and it fits just great...

I've used both Nelson and Shoemaker and they both produce fine products. They are old school , as the youngsters say today. I think you can still get floral carved swivel rigs with cartridge loops and Border patrol holsters with a strap, no thumb break, if thats what you need, along with more allegedly modern kit. Just the stuff to go with a 440 Polara with twin beacon rays :)

My suggestion would include leather holsters from Bianchi Leather
or Don Hume leather goods. Proly would be in the form of a high
ride, or the old Border Patrol style? Both company's use to make
some excellent products for law enforcement personel.
