Well after owning the thing for about a month I finally took it out to the range. Ran about 85 rounds on UMC (bleh I know but it's all I could find) through it with out any problems. And man was I surprised with this thing, It has a lot louder "crack" to it then what I was expecting for the round and the fireball is a lot more noticeable too. Other then that I shoot a little high with it but I can keep em grouped together pretty good. Can't wait to take it out again!

The SIG 230/232 is a great little gun. I had the blued alloy frame model and was surprised how 'snappy' the recoil was. It was my first blow-back (vs locked breech) pistol, and that, along with its light weight made it a bit prone to muzzle flip. You'll get over it with a little practice. It's an easy gun to carry due to its slimness and light weight. Mine was thoroughly reliable, ate anything, and was quite accurate once I got used to it. I used Fed HydraShoks and Rem Golden Sabres for carry. Enjoy!

Try the hogue rubber grips for the p230/P232. They go a long way in taming the recoil.

I read a review on the P230, and a picture showed me that the guy firing it also was shooting a little high.

Hehe, that is Stephen Camp.

I doubt he was shooting high, the caption says "The SIG-Sauer's sights appear set for a 6 O' Clock hold" so that would be why they impacted above the center.
