Newbie 1911 questions: Tuner?

I am considering my second handgun now... I am trying to learn more about the Norinco 1911s. How available are parts to this? Can they be swapped out for regular 1911 parts? (brownells?) Are all the parts just drop-in? Or will some gunsmithing be necessary? Thanx in advance for any information and pardon my ignorance....

As far as I know, all parts in the Norinco except for the stock screw bushings are made to USGI dimension specs, so parts will interchange with little or no fitting unless the part is a match grade, gunsmith fit part.

As stans said the only thing not mil-spec are the bushings which are metric.
All parts except frames can be ordered from an outfit in Canada. Marstar or something like that

Howdy Amateurknight, and welcome aboard.
Norinco's original parts are a little rough around the edges, but are perfectly serviceable as they are. There are no MIM or cast parts in the guns unless they've been swapped out by a previous owner, and all that's needed to
make the guns better is a little prep work and cleaning up of various parts.
If yours has original parts, and you decide to upgrade, I'll make you an offer on the original hammer..Thumb safety (If it's one of the USGI copies with the small thumb piece.) Grip safety, and mainspring housing...If the housing has a lanyard loop, the offer goes up 5 bucks...The slidestop, and the trigger. That'll help ease the cost of your upgrade.
Luck!
