I noticed the captain and several of the uniforms are packing Beretta 92s. I know what Mackey and the strike teams are using different sidearms but I don't know enought to tell what they are.
Thanks all.....

Mackeys looks like a S&W 4506 to me, right now I can't even picture the other guys sidearms.

I noticed the street thugs in Tijuana (recent episode) seem to have expensive tastes for street thugs... HK P7M8's and USP compacts.
On the other hand, in my personal experience the punks in TJ seem to prefer Glocks and .38 revolvers...

Yeah, it looks like Mackey is packing either a S&W 4506 or 5906..
Now that I think about it, it's probably the .45..;)

Mackey does have a 4506 S&W with the adjustable sights.
The one female uniform officer has a Glock 19 (its the only one that doesn't fit with everything else being real LAPD authorized pistols)
The LT. carried (last season anyway) a Beretta Cougar .45. (I believe these are authorized)
And everyone else I remember seeing with the Beretta 92.

First of all, there are no Glocks in the hands of the Farmington Station cops on this show.
The LAPD is a S&W/Beretta/Kimber (SWAT) contract holder.
Vic Mackey: SW 4506
Shane Vendrell: Beretta 8045
Curtis Lemansky, Ofc. Danny Sofer, Ofc. Julian Lowe, Capt. David Aceveda: Beretta 92FS
I don't recall Dets. Wagenbach and Wyms pulling their firearms recently, so no suggestion.

Boats, you need to take a closer look. I can't remember her name but the uniform female cop with the corporal stripes carries a Glock 19. You can't miss it. Now I'd admit to not seeing every show this season, so you could be right if she's changed, but all last season she had the 19.

That was the new season. I already said I wasn't sure about that. But the first season she had a 19.

Mackey keeps a detective special as well (he had to disarm to enter a hotel room with hostages), Funny thing though since he usually wears a t-shirt, where the heck did he pull it out from?
Still, I like the show.

I read in another forum, L.A.P.D.'s Special Investigations Section (S.I.S.) are now issued Glock 21's. Does anyone know if this is true?

However, unlike NYPD Blue, the attention to some details is quite lax. The biggie for me is that cheesy badge they sport instead of a reasonable facsimilie of the LAPD 'egg'. In the first season anyway, they'd change which side of their uniform blouse they wore it on! The seal on the side of the patrol car says Farmington Police, and there's no 'To Serve and Protect'. I don't know, perhaps there's some fee to pay, or procedure to do for the city to authorize the real-deal. Maybe the show's budget won't allow it?
Now, Mackey's is a 4506, for sure. It's hard to miss with as many times as he's had it pointed at some miscreant's head. As shocking as this may seeem, I've not really paid that close of attetnion to the other character's hardware. However, the 92F seems to be the most prevalent.

Wow...I was really worried that no one was watching this show considering it is on FX....Thank God other people know about this program...it is WAY to good to go unnoticed. I havent missed an episode since it started.
As for the weapons that everyone carries, I have no clue...however I seem to remember Dutch drawing a Glock at some point last season...
Or maybe it was a Hi-Point...:D

I noticed that too. Not very realistic.
Guess the Armorer and director thought it would look cool.
Too bad the cops have such mediocre toys.
Mackey should ditch that S&W for a USP 45F. Strike team should have Benellis and MP5s (and not some low-life street thug that got Vic's old partner booted from the force).

The female uniform cop in question carried a Glock. Then she got in the shooting. After the shooting she now carries a Beretta.
