:banghead:

I moved into a rental house while my new house is being built. I sent in the ATF Form 530038 to change the address on my C&R license to the rental house (I was told that was the form to use.) I got my application back today with a notation that I have to answer questions 22, 23 and 24 on the application. When I filled it out, I marked all three of those questions "N/A - licensed collector", since all three of them relate to operation of a business, which is something I can't do.

Now, how do I answer these questions? Just answer all three of them NO? I tried to call the National Licensing Center today, but no one was there or the phone just rang (very frustrating experience!)

Yesterday was Veteran's Day, a Federal holiday. I'd suspect that the licensing folks were given today off as well, for a nice 4 day weekend.

Try calling them again on Monday.

Check 'no' for all of them. I checked 'no' when I changed addresses a while back and didn't have any problems at all.

For further reference, I e-mailed them about just which sections a collector is supposed to fill out on the Amended License Application. Here is the response:

Thank you for contacting the ATF's National Licensing Center (NLC Atlanta)
with your e-mail inquiry.

As a collector you are required to complete all items on ATF Form 5300.38,
except: 4,14,15,16 and 17.

Mail your application to:

National Licensing Center
2600 Century Parkway, Suite 400
Atlanta, GA 30345

I hope this has been responsive to your e-mail inquiry. Thank you for
allowing the NLC to assist with your inquiry and/or concerns.

Sincerely,
Daisy Correa

Thanks! I'll check the boxes no and send it on its way.

BTW, it took a month just to get that back, so they do seem to be running about 45 days on renewals.
