I want to put a scope on my 657. My first thought was a Red Dot and that is what I would prefer but I have been told by the local shop that a Red Dot won't hold up to the recoil of the 41Mag.

What do you guys suggest? Anyone have experience with a scope on a similiar caliber?

The Ultradot on top of my 657 has handled hundreds of full-power loads without flinching.

The UltraDot will hold up to to the 657 just fine.

I've got them mounted on several S&W revolvers, and they have never given me any problem.

Thanks I will take a look at the UltraDot Scopes. Do they offer any power or are they just 1X scopes? Any suggestions on vendors that have these at a good price?
