Is anyone planning on going to this and if so, do you want to meet? I would like to get to know some like minded folks here in MN. This is the Weapons Collector show on Dec. 11 and 12. It is a great show, with the exception that they do not allow CCW at their shows.

I'm going to try to go, but I'm not able to commit to a schedule, I kind of just have to go when I get a few moments, if I can get a few moments.

I am planning on attending the gun show on Saturday. However, deciding on a time to meet might be a bit difficult, as I do not know what time I can make it there.

moby clarke - bring that gun if you haven't sold it yet on the boards. I bet you can move it at the show.

Yup, assuming DL gets up in time, we will be there around the opening time.

To find us, look for 2 guys trying to talk the one guy into buying an AR and the other guy trying to talk the 2 guys into buying a shotgun. :)

I might be going, but probably not until later on Saturday. Getting together with the Defensive Edge alumni crew afterwards.

Maybe I"ll see you guys if you're still hanging around. :)

Breakfast? Keys Cafe on Robert St. Omlettes larger than most plates! It's right across the street from Pedro's luggage.

BTW- How exactly do/ can they restrict lawful carry in the show? Nevermind WHY

I'm moving this weekend from Chisago to Rosemount, so I'll wave on the way by.

Last time I was there, no one asked or anything about CCW, so I didn't tell.

So there will be both new and used guns there?

What are the show hours, cost?

How do they manage to implement not allowing CCW?!?! Presumably there will be many people purchasing guns at the show. This means there will be many people walking around with guns in various containers (bag, fanny pack, pocket, etc...). Presumably they require that such guns remain unloaded??? If so, then why couldn't you bring your carry weapon in your pocket, as long as you unload it before walking in?

If so, then why couldn't you bring your carry weapon in your pocket, as long as you unload it before walking in? They don't, but the policy is no loaded guns. So, you hand the nice officer your carry gun, he unloads it for you, and if your lucky he won't point the gun at you. Then he'll put a plastic band around the action to you can't reload.

If you go this route, make sure to hand him the gun handle first. :)

Hours are 8-5 on Saturday, 9-3 on Sunday. $5 to get in, both new and used guns.

Halvey,

Yup, as discussed offline, I'll be ready by the time you pull round at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

s&w 24,

I can heartily recommend The Backstreet Grill on the west side of Robert St., just south of the bridge across the Mississippi. Great food, generous serving sizes, and reasonable prices.

BigRedBowtie,

Rosemount??? Cool! That puts you in my and Halvey's neck of the woods. The Dakota County Gun Club is right there too--have you thought of becoming a member?

Hey everyone. I'm planning on going on sunday. Is there any place that I could get more info on this stuff? Anyone else going on sunday as well? Breakfast maybe?

It's going to be my first gun show.

I will be there Saturday, but not that early. lol. It was just a thought for a meet. It is always nice to meet like minded folk. I will bring my gun and I have some ammo to get rid of as well.

As far as CCW goes, I thought the last time it was at the River Center, they had an officer with a wand checking for weapons. But if you guys do not recall that, then I will be carrying.

MN Shooter, check out http://www.mwca.org/ for more info. These shows are some of the largest in the area and are usually pretty good as far as prices, but you do have to look and do your homework.

We should all wear something we'd recognize on eachother to mark us as THR members, like an armband, or a a name badge. That way even if we don't meet up at the ent, if we run into eachother inside we'll know.

Oh man, that was good fun. I picked up a remmy 870 w/a folding stock. Good times overall.

Anyone else going tommorow too?
