I will be up in the Seattle area over Thanksgiving holiday...in Magnolia. Can someone point me to a range or two in that area? I will only be shooting pistols, so indoor or outdoor is fine.

Yeah, for close to Seattle, Wade's is really it... there's also nice outdoor range in Renton, and one up North a bit I haven't tried yet.

It's only an hour or so the 'the woods'... You can do a little research and find a remote and legal spot out there.

The Kenmore Gun Range is the one referred to as "up north a bit". It's at the north end of Lake Washington.

I second Wades. It's a nice range and they have quite a few guns you can rent.

Being legal in the woods may be a bit tricky. King County goes way into the Cascade Mountains and I believe we have an ordinance that prohibits shooting out in the woods, less those places that are zoned as ranges. Maybe I am wrong. Wouldn't be the first time, dang it.

You can go north, an ndoor range on the south side of Everett is Sam's. They even allow rifles, indoors, on the same line as pistols. OK, it is short range but people shoot at that range. I found firing the .303 isn't so bad indoors. Didn't ask the guys in the next shooting spots what they thought :)
