Back when you could get a striker 12 shotgun over the counter the same company made a 20 guage version, a 410/45 colt pistol and a 45-70 pistol. I think CDNN sold them maybe southern ohio gun. Anyone own one ? heard of them ?

I believe Cobray/SWD produced these items as the "Ladies Home Companion" for a while, but I've never seen one "in the flesh". HTH

Seen the 410/45 LC pistol. It was a single shot, smooth bore pistol. Never got to shoot it. This was about 10+ years ago and I have never seen one since. At the time I think it sold for about 60-75 dollars.

I think you're talking about the Thunder-5 revolver, although I have no idea if it's made by the Striker-12 people, naming convention seems to be similar though... Anyway, it was .410/45LC, on the big and ugly side of things...
Here's what a quick google search turned up: http://www.thunder5.com/docs1.html

This fellow (http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976521821.htm) has one of the 45 LC/410s for sale for ~$2000, if you're interested.

no it isn't the thunder five or the cobray single shot pistols but I will check into the ladys home companion (does Garison Keilor know about this). I saw an old old american survival magazine artical about these "pistols" as well but I think I gave away those mags some time ago.

Striker 12 gauge is made by Penn Arms. (http://www.pennarms.com/) It is in my home town and I know the owners. Look on the Striker 12 page at the short SE models. Are those what you are talking about?

Actually, S&W, I just saw one of the .45-70s for sale last weekend at the SAR show in Phoenix, AZ, but it already had a "SOLD" tag on it; obo 2/3s the size of one of the 12 gauge versions, and marked "LHC" on the front of the drum. They ARE out there, you just need to keep looking :)

Was the 20 gauge ruled a Destructive Device also?

The 20 gauge has a bore diameter of .615. That's greater than .50, which means it can be ruled a DD at the ATF's discretion. If the 12 is a DD, I'm sure that 20 is, too.

I remember seeing a .45/70 on a table at Knob Creek years ago. Don't remember too much about it, other than I thought it was clumsy looking.
I still think it is clumsy looking, but would not want some one shooting one at me.
