I'm currently looking at purchasing either a Bulgarian Makarov or a CZ-70.
I understand that the MAK is in either .380 or 9MM. The CZ is .32 ACP IIRC.
Can you fine folks instruct me regarding the relative merits and drawbacks of each weapon. As always, thanks. Jimbo

Mak is available as 380, or 9x18 Makarov round; not 9mm as in 9mm Luger (9x19). CZ70 is also available as 380. A lot of surplus ones that came in are 32. Maks were made on Walther tooling stolen by Russia at end ow WW2. Excellent pistol. CZ is supposed to be one of the better "pocket pistols", but I have no personal experience with it. :)

The most common Mak cartridge is 9x18. .380 is much less common. Though you can purchase a 380 barrel for you Mak. 9x18 is hotter than 380 (9x17) and ammo right now is very cheap.
Makarovs are excellent guns.
I have never used a CZ70.
