Max bullet weight

What is the recommended max bullet weight for a .223 in a 1 in 9 twist barrel? Will the Sierra 69 gr MK's work well?

69's will be fine. You may be able to get by with Hornady 75's and if they will shoot in your barrel they perform almost as well as 80's in a 1:8" twist at 600 yards. Try them and see...at distance. 69's perform poorly at 600.


BTW, try both the A-Max and the BTHP.
