Anyone reloading for the 7.62x39 and have a recipe they'd like to share?

I use one of the single shot pistol bullets by any of the major makers, and AA1680. The charge varies a little because the bullets go from 125 to 135 grains.

H322 works very well in this caliber. Try 28 grs. with a 125gr. bullet for about 2200 FPS, and 25 grs. with a 150 gr. bullet for about 1900 FPS.
As always verify all loads you'd like to try loads using an up to date reloading manual.

If you're shooting one of the Commie milsurps, slug the bbl. Mine has a .311 bore, so I use .303 bullets, not the .300 bullets one would normally use. I understand that the bores vary widely on all of the Commie milsurps.

Assuming you 7.63x39 is a .311 bore, and not a recent USA made version with a .308 bore, the following is a great ammunition option.
Go to a gunsmith and buy some military ball ammo. Tell him to pull the FMJ bullets and replace with Hornady XTP .31 100 grain pistol bullets. You'll have to pay for the replacement bullets and his time, but it will be cheaper than buying premium ammo, and be just as good. By gunsmith did this for the price of the components and $10 a 100. Give the pulled bullets 123gn FMJs to a friend who reloads .303 British, and he'll like you even more.
This will give you a round that shoots at about 2,800fps, which cycled perfectly and shot 1.25 inch groups in my scoped SKS, and was the Hammer of Thor on feral goats, Fallow and Sika deer (both Whitetail sized deer). With the SKS sighted 2" high at 100M, it was 4-5" low at 200. Animals generally collapsed on the spot, some took 2 or 3 paces, no more.

I use 30 grains of H335 with my 123 grain bullets. Works just fine.

Having tried every .308" diameter bullet made in weights from 100-130 grains in SKS and AK rifles I can say they are a waste of time/money.
.310" diameter bullets in 123-125 grain weights made by Hornady,Winchester,Speer, and the new Remington .310" bullet will give way better accuracy than any .308" bullet. The most accurate bullet I have found is the Sierra 125gr .311" diameter bullet.
I loose about 1/4 of the brass everytime I go shooting in the weeds. I got tired of getting my ass in the grass hunting for brass so I pull the bullets from cheap Russian ammo and dump the powder in the powder measure. I weigh the powder charge of 10 rds and set my powder measure for the average powder charge weight of those 10 rds. Recharge the cases and seat Sierra .311" bullets. These loads cut my groups to less than half of the size with Russian ammo to 2" at 100 yards from my scoped Siaga rifle. The best thing is I don't have to waste time hunting for brass cases when I get through shooting I just leave the steel cases where the landed.
