CZ P-01 + new mags = sweet

I bought a P-01 a month or so ago, have been very happy so far. Flawless function, good practical accuracy, easy to shoot. Yesterday the three standard capacity magazines that I ordered from Midwest Tactical showed up. CZ factory 14 shot.

What a difference. The butt on the Clinton clips was thin hard plastic that stuck out and made you wiggle the pinky up a bit to get away from it. The new mags have a thicker rubber pad that exactly follows the line of the grips. Strange that such a small change makes such a difference, but it feels like a whole new gun.

The Rubber/steel base plates are stellar and were only found on Czech/European guns for years......Ive had these for a while. They do make the gun ALOT more ergonomic if you have large hands.............http://www.imageseek.com/hbeleather/gallery/albums/custom/P1010025.jpg

I purchased a P-01 a week or so ago and just love it. It came with one of the 14 round mags and I purchased 4 more. I, too, love the rubber baseplate on those mags. In fact, I have more mags on order since this gun is indeed a keeper and I don't trust that there won't be another "ban" inacted in the next year or so!!!! :fire:

My factory 14 rounder has the thin steel baseplate....wonder how old it is? Can't find where you got yours - Midwest Tactical only lists AR15 gear???

Midwest Tactical -- I haven't purchased from them. I got my 14 round mags from AJC Sports Shop at the last gun show. They have the rubber baseplates. Not sure if the Midwest Tactical mags have metal or rubber but here's the website that lists the CZ mags....

Its a PCR/PO1 hybrid or a PCR slide on a PO1 frame.....so its an OEM CZ sight.
Thanks......the holster is the first of my wicked line. Its my EDC holster.
