I THINK that this is in the right area to post this-
I've noticed 4-5 people lately that indicate that they just moved to NH from MA, or MD, or other places.
I live in Concord area (Since Jan 04) and belong to Pioneer Sportsmen in Dunbarton. I've been to the indoor ranges in Manchester and the one on 106 by the race track (Loudon area). I'm open to trying new places, if the ride isn't too far; I have an infant at home (8 days old, as of today), and I'm not going to leave my wife home so I can drive 2 hours, shoot for a few, and drive a few more home. It's just not fair, as I already work 50+ hours a week.
I would LOVE to get together and shoot with some of y'all. I go alone most of the time (wife just isn't interested, and I work too many hours to meet people, and where does a 30 something couple go to meet people? Mrs. Ex-MA was sick the WHOLE pregnancy, so she never was able to get a job & meet people that way). If any of you every want to go, please let me know, via this thread, or PM.
Even if you don't have any toys to bring, I don't mind sharing. A few of the posts that I have noticed are from people that are looking at what to buy. Feel free to try my stuff. It's not a large collection, but hey, keeps me happy. And safe.

I wouldn't mind driving up as far as Concord to do some shooting. I've been to the Manchester firing line and liked it enough. I should be available sometime after Xmas and early January.

Ex-MA,
Don't know where your shooting interests lie, but if you have an interest in the use of firearms for self-defense (versus say, competitive target shooting), a group called the NH Tactical Arts Group ("TAG") shoots Monday nights during the winter at the Manchester Firing Line. Their website is: http://www.tacticalartsgroup.com/index.php
You might want to show up some Monday night to check them out. As their website says, they require "proof of good character", which your NH Pistol/Revolver Permit (i.e., concealed carry permit) would satisfy. In order to participate there is also a short qualifier, basically to demonstrate that you can safely draw, reholster, and have basic firearms safety (muzzle discipline, trigger finger discipline, etc.). I believe a number of current MA folks participate, along with (obviously) a bunch of NH folks.
Hope this helps.

There's an exercise going on that weekend that I'm involved in that may require my presence on Sunday, but it's not likely. Unfortunately I won't know until Saturday. If I don't need to sit through the after-action review, I'll be there.

Hi Guys,
I may be able to make it, too. Just to confirm, Manchester Firing Line on Sun. the 9th.
Not to change the subject, but I seem to remember that there's a gun show one weekend this month. I had it in my Palm but lost the data. Anyone know of any shows coming up in NH?
Thanks

There is one in Manchester at the Center of NH on Saturday and Sunday. I will be at the show on Saturday.

Thanks,
I just googled it, the show is at the Holiday Inn Center on Elm St. Sat 9-5 and Sun 9-2.
Has anyone been to this show before. It says about 175 tables. Do the vendors show up with good stuff, i.e. wide selection of firearms, ammo, accessories?
I'm used to shows in PA and FL with 500-1000 tables and everything you could imagine, and some things you wouldn't have thought.
In any event, I'll likely be there Sat., too.

It's ok at best. I'm going Sunday before the meet. I've only been to this one and the one in Concord. Compared to Concord, it's great. The guy I go with, who has been to MANY of them, said it's ok. I'll go based on his reccomendation...
And yes, plnkr1234, you are correct as far as the time.

I'm just about to go to the Manchester Range for the first time, and I'm interested in finding a network of people to go shooting with.

Hey, I go to the Manchester firing line every saturday morning. Sometimes Sunday too. Sunday nights are real busy because it's ladies night and the girls get the lanes for free. Usually there is about a 30 minute wait whenever I go. I suppose it's not as bad during the weekdays though. Just look for the stainless J frame stubby with the enormous muzzle blast and you'll find me.

My friend and I are there just about every monday or tuesday if anyone needs someone to go with. We would love the chance to shoot with some new folks.
