This is in a class all by itself!

It's a beltfed upper for the AR platform, shoots .22 LR, drop on two pin upper conversion....works with a semi or full auto lower.

WAY slick

$1500 or so...

Perfect for providing surpressing fire for squirrels. :D

How much is a FA lower these days, anyway?

I heart beltfed.

Eventually, I think we'll see mostly belt-feds for things like this, being that the magazine capacity is whatever you want it to be.

As as sidenote, I've been working on a belt-fed shotgun. I swear they stole my idea of nylon links. :neener:

This is the greatest thing I have seen all day. The top cover is a modified design from their miniature 1919. I hope it is affordable, but I am not holding my breath.

Oh my gosh I just realized something..... :banghead:

I can scale the 1919 belt feeding design since it's old enough to be "public domain" if you will. Duh. A .223 or .308 upper (beltfed) would also be possible, then. Yay! :)

WOW that would be a really sweet gun to own even in the Semi auto version.

quote "WOW that would be a really sweet gun to own even in the Semi auto version."

It is only a top end, right? It can go on any AR lower I would imagine, semi auto or full, whatever you happen to have. Though I can certainly see how "rock 'n' roll" would make a REAL fun plinker.

You need to change out the buffer with the provided "rimfire" buffer to use it, so it's not quite just swapping the uppers. Close, though.

Wow: Happiness is a belt-fed weapon!

That would be so cool!

*Old man voice* Ehh, awfull lot of work just to shoot a dang .22! Then ya gotta pick up all the little links outta the grass! Back in my day, we only had ten round magazines, and we liked it! *End old man voice*

Here (http://www.lakesideguns.com/title1/upper.html) is a link to the actual page describing the beltfed upper/rifle.

Does it fire from an open bolt? Any belt-fed 22LR gun would really need to.

During my teenage years I discovered that if you fire off about four 50-round Ruger 10/22 mags in quick succession you will lead the barrel up to the point that it nearly chokes.....
