Mounting a Side-Saddle Shell Carrier. Advice?

I am looking to buy a six-shot side-saddle for my 870 Express, and the website https://www.elitetacticalsources.com/client/search.php?st=&sc=561&x=25&y=13 tells me that 870 fore-ends will require "slight modification." What is that about?
Does anyone besides Tac-star make a similar piece?

SOME 870 forends will require trimming. if you buy a black plastic "tactical" style stock it will be allright. many of the field style forends come back past the front of the reciever far enough to contact the sidesaddle when in the rear position. these forends can also grab cloth or other substances and jam your weapon. If your 870 has a 'long' or field type fore-end, you can get a four round SideSaddle which doesn't require you to change the fore-end out or modify it by cutting it off. Depending on your size and the length of your reach you may prefer to keep the long fore-arm and sacrifice a couple of rounds in the SideSaddle.
If you decide to modify the existing fore-arm, you will have to remove it from the action bar assembly and cut it down, then reassemble it. Or you can replace the fore-arm with a short one and leave your factory fore-arm in original condition.
