I was/am able to buy Federal .375 H&H Premium Safari 300g Nosler Partition ammo pretty cheap right now. I'm puttin the cart in front of the horse...as I don't own a .375 H&H rifle YET. What do you think of this cartridge? Is it a good general purpose .375 H&H load? Is it worth scooping up a hundred rounds or so for someday?
BTW- If anyone runs across a screamin deal on a rifle to shoot this outa...drop me a note. :)

Federal is good ammo..I won't use a nosler partition on thick skinned dangerous game. It is fine for everything else.

A very fine cartridge will work on almost anything [not the best for CHARGING buffalo or elephant]. As powerfull as it is it's not too bad for recoil , it's very accurate and seems to put rounds of different bullet weight very close on the target. In this country it's fine for bison, elk, brown bear.

Obviously depends on the exact amount of dollars. :)
I have about a hundred rounds of 165 Federal Premium Trophy Bonded ammo for my '06 that I got for less than plinking ammo costs. Obviously worth the cost.
.375 is easy to reload and Federal makes good brass. The NP is a good bullet for 90% of what you would use it for here, IMHO.

Federal is good ammo. If the price is right, go for it.

Thanks for the feedback. I bought a bunch for about $25.00/20. That seems pretty good compared to what I've seen on the net.
