Bruce Willis Volunteering for Duty????

Listening to the Sean Hannity radioshow this afternoon, I heard him state that a London based newspaper ran a story on Bruce Willis actually calling the White House and talking with President Bush, deploring the bleeding heart Hollywood types and asking to sign up to serve with the troops.
Pres. Bush told him that he was too old, at age 47 to enlist, 34 being the cutoff age, and that he should serve his country in some other fashion.
Anybody here this? Or have a link from any London based news?
It sounds like something that Willis would do. Sounds like something that a lot of us would do, not that the White House would take our calls.
So how should Willis and the rest of us do our part to serve during the upcoming/ongoing war?
Victory garden? Quit driving so much? Travel less? Organize book drives for the troops? Give money to knife companies in order for them to send their products at reduced cost?
Or just stay at home and don't listen to the Hollywood types bemoan the horrors of the USA?
And just what DID Dennis Miller say on the Donahue show yesterday anyway? (Another Hannity comment)
Adios

If he wanted to enlist, why bother the president?

Gets some publicity.
As the old cliche about actors goes: "Say whatever you want, just spell my name right!"

I don't know his exact comments, but he said something to the effect that he supported Bush's actions concerning Iraq. He also said something like he may not be the smartest person, but he strives to surround himself with people that are the smartest in their field.

Dennis Miller came out in support of Bush a few weeks ago. Hannity has been talking about him on both his radio and TV shows.
Bruce Willis has a new movie out. Free publicity.

Don't look this gift horse in the mouth!
Bruce Willis DESERVES the publicity he gets for doing this! Just compare his actions to those of most of the other hollywood limousine (sp?) liberals and millionaire marxists and hate-the-America that allowed them to make it so big -- turkeys.
He may just be as sick of them as some of us are and this is his responce to them.
I heard this, too, on Sean Hannity, and I'm thrilled.

If Elvis can become a DEA Special Agent, and the major Film and Broadcasting execs of the 40s could get commissions, why not go to the Prez?

Dennis Miller on Donahue was great. I thought he basically made Donahue look like the bunghole he is. Of course, I saw it when it originally aired and forgot most of what was said, except the part about Hillary riding Willie's coattails. That was good.

The thing that really "made my day" was hearing that Donahue got fired by MSNBC. He was getting stomped in the ratings by Bill O'Reilly on Fox News..
Where's that dancin' Snoopy when I need it..
As far as Bruce Willis, everyone above is right, he's just trying to get a little free publicity since his new movie Tears of the SUN is just about to be released in theatres.. You can't fault him for trying at least..:D
