CNN is reporting on its front page that Tom Ridge is apparently going to resign later today.
Maybe this is an opportunity to hold a general housecleaning in that department and to install several someones with at least half a brain each there.
Of course, my suggestion would be to trash almost all of the department. Its most visible component is IMO mostly a waste of time, resources and manpower. And then there's the name, Homeland Security Department isn't all that different from Staatssicherheitsdienst after all.
I'll be watching where this goes.
