Same Sight Picture on All Handguns?

I want to put Novaks on all my handguns but as they don't have them for the P7M8, I may go all Trijicons.
Does having the same sight picture on all their handguns make sense at all or do you think it's a non-issue?

I'd say it's an impossibility. I like a tall, narrow Patridge front sight and wide, deeply notched rear sight on match pistols, but all that's out of the question on a snub-nosed revolver.

With one semi exception all of my hand guns has very similar sights. All but one are adjustable, with nice square cut rear and sharp outlined front blades. Only one has any color on it. But the sights them selves are still the same configuration.

well personally I go for approximately the same hold on the target, rather than the same sight picture.

That my boy is why (at least how I rationalized it :) ) I have so many USPs...the same trigger & the same sight picture from gun to gun ;)

If one is as fickle as *ahem* some people are, then it might be of vital importance, for the rest of us, it's really a "non-issue". :D
Well, at least for me it isn't.;)

I happen to be a big fan of the Ashley sights...and I'm fickle! All my "duty/defensive" handguns wear them. I like having a familiar sight picture across the board.
For the "fun" guns, it really doesn't matter to me.

I think it's a very fine idea! Most will say it's not that big of a
deal beacause we would rather spend the money on a new gun
(carring less if it has the same sight picture or not). I think it
would fall under the same catagory as having the same stocks
and controls. Very helpful but not mandatory.

I'm with popo.
My carry guns all have big dots. The other guns I'm more flexible about.

For SD for me it's a non-issue just like it is at the range where there's time to carefully aim.
For SD, I need to be able to distinguish the front sight from the rear sight. I put the FS on target, then bring up the rear sight to the right elevation.
It doesn't seem to matter what the actual configuration of the sights is, but maybe that's a residual benefit of being a pretty fair point shooter over a period of decades.
