Just ran across a beautiful S&W Mod 36-1, blue, 3" bbl., 38 spl., SN: AAM3XXX. Anybody know the approx. date of manufacture?

Sometime between October and December 1982, probably closer to October.

I don't find a listing for an "AAM" prefix. The model 36-1 was made between 1967 to 1988. They seemed to have used the "AA?" prefixes during the middle to latter 1980.
