I saw one of these in my friends gun shop the other day. Has anyone tried one yet. I have tried one in .22LR/.22 Mag and liked it, especially at less than half the price of a Singe Six.
Another friend is going crazy trying to figure out how to get one. I think it is a pretty neet gun and idea. Please sound in if you are thinking of buying one or if you already have one in the two .17 calibers. I mainly want to know how the shoot.
P.S. And yes  , I know that the safety is kinda ugly. I am not the prettiest thing eigther, and it is only $219.

Cylinder bind is an issue in the .17 caliber revolvers, regardless of manufacture.
You get what you pay for and me thinks it may be an even bigger issue in a less expensive gun.
Ruger is claiming to have the cylinder binding problem worked out in their new Single Six convertable .17HMR/.17HM2 but I haven't seen one in the steel yet to confirm that claim.
If they have, it would be wise to wait a bit and spend the extra $100.00-$150.00 for the Ruger.
Like them or Hate them, Ruger does make a pretty decent single action gun.

I like Rugers just fine, single actions anyway. I got a new (to me) Blackhawk about 3 weeks ago, and the only problem I have had is running out of ammo too quickly. I also have a 3 screw Super Single Six i'll keep until I die; it is great.
Personally, I don't think I have any need for a .17 in a handgun; my Savage rifle does everything I ever need it to do. My buddy is reallllllly interested in them though. After hearing about the cylinder binding issues, I think I'll tell him to wait until a review comes in from another customer at the gun shop who has purchased one and has shot it.
