The Difference Between The Liberal and Conservative "Debate"
Over The War On Terrorism:

Question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two
small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife
and a turban comes around the corner and is running at you while
screaming obscenities. In your hand is a Glock .40 cal. and you are an
expert shot.

You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?

Liberal Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look
poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that isinspiring him to
attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation? Is it possible he'd be happy with
just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content
to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away
while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with
some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.

Conservative Answer:

Alabamians?

The version I saw, back when dirt was young, was about Texans.

after the police arrive, they contact the franchise tax board and send you a tax bill for $6 - the tax on your handloaded components you bought in Nevada. They also consider this probable cause that you are a tax evader so they search your house and find enough components to assemble 20,000 rounds. They assess you for $6,000 and begin accellerated judicial forclosure proceedings on your house - for the children. :barf:

A Texan wouldn't waste that much ammo on a bad guy--we believe in aiming...

Do the .40's only hold 9 rounds? If they do why doesn't the first string of shots have 10 fired (9+1)? If they don't why does the secong string have 9? Did he really stop to top off his magazine before letting loose again.

I really should go to bed and try to stop being such a gun geek.

"When dirt was young." I like that and at least it's something new to me on this thread. :D

When I was sent this joke via e-mail I altered the line to correct a few errors before sending it off to friends. First I changed the number of rounds in the magazine to 10, (10+1 on the first string), and I changed "Clip" to "magazine" cause no self-respecting Texan would ever refer to his magazines as 'clips'
