Ok, I know threads like these get thrown around about once every 2 seconds.

I don't care.

Anyhow, what are the next to firearms you are going to purchase? Don't list accessories or ammo or any of that crap. What two FIREARMS are you going to purchase next?

Me:
MN M39

Ok, now it's your turn.

I have enough firearms already, so I'm not contemplating any purchases.

Don't hold me to that, though. :)

I'm in a situation where I dont have the "want" to go out and buy another firearm, but yet there are a few that I am completely wanting. If that makes any sense.

1) Glock 23. I want a polymer pistol to fill my niche. I want a .40 S&W niche to fill. And when I do finally apply for CCW in California ( Hey it is worth a try!) I've realized that the Glock is the Perfect CCW weapon. I gotta admit, I've been visiting GlockTalk a lot and drooling over GLOCKS! :what:

2) Remington PSS. I want a Target/Precision rifle to shoot. I dont have one yet so this would be a great opportunity.

Hmm... I have the money to buy these, yet I dont really have the urge to get em'.... The Glock, well I dont really need it quite yet, I cant carry currently, my Government serves HD role, so theres really no need for it.

The Remington PSS. Well.. the Rifle range is far from here... so I dunno how much I'd actually use it.

But if I was gonna go buy 2 guns, these two would be it.

I had no intentions of buying a single gun this year. I think I bought 5 :uhoh: and that doesn't include the First Model Brown Bess. Why Bess? Well, it's got a nice long pig sticker on it and now I can practice my Stand by to repel borders (or is it boarders since I'm in a house?) drill. :p

Hmmmm ...

A NEW Savage/Stevens Favorite. I want the new take-down version, and I'll mount a tang sight on it.

A Lefavre double -- preferrably a 10 gauge with damascus barrels. I'll put in gage-mate inserts and shoot 12 guage shells in it.

For me, the "right" answer is no more guns. Just BA/UU/R.

However, with my back jacked up, I can barely stand for 30 minutes. Shooting is just not fun right now. I can only gain solice by buying more guns, more accessories for my guns, and more ammo...

Let's see, next two?

Kind of hard sometimes, those spontaneous C&R purchases seem to get in the way every time.

No particular order:

- Underfolding AK (7.62x39) - I need to get an "extremely tactical" carbine, and I like .30 cal better than .22. This fitted with an aimpoint on an ultimak rail, and a plastic forward grip.

- Schmidt Rubin K.31 - It seems as if I'm the only one who doesn't have one of these yet

and of course, if I come upon a huge pile of money, a Springfield M1A

Hmmm .. you did say next 2 ... well I do have two longarms ''on the list'' so afraid I am stretching this to three! I am hoping one day to see the MkIV Enfield in .308, thru the Andrew Wyatt group buy - it's a long time coming tho. It depends on which comes first. A trip to Los Anchorage or the imminent arrival of my C&R. :D
If I can go to civilization it'll be either a Browning Buckmark or Winchester 1300 Defender for modern guns as they are at the top of my to get list.
If my C&R arrives it'll be an SKS and uhmmmmmmmmm.................an SKS before they either get banned or Bush family tradition continues and an executive order is issued barring further imports. :fire:

I really like these posts, you get a real feel for the wide-wide world of firearms.

First, another Glock 35.
Second... an AR upper really isn't a firearm, is it? Nuts. Well, I'm gonna get an AR upper with a 20" HBAR barrel, bob two inches off the end of the barrel, thread and crown it, turn the entire barrel down to 0.750" O.D., and refinish it.
Second, then, will be a precision rifle build of some kind. I'd like to buy a Tubb-2000T, but I don't know if I can hold out for six months to save for one...

In reality: 1. M1 Garand, been wanting one of these since I used to get hit in the head w/ 'em on a regular basis(exhibition drill team, high school JROTC).
I think I would like to shoot what took some much blood from me... :)

2. Some kind of 1911. The first gun I purchased was an xmas gift for me paps. $300 for a Remington-Rand 1911 w/ a gov't property stamp?? Not bad if I do say so myself. Shoulda kept it though.... :banghead:

December 6, 2004, 12:18 PM
1. "Unissued" Yugo SKS from Aim; already on order and due in this week. This is to go along with the shooter Yugo SKS I've got.

2. Mosin- not sure if it'll be a M-38, M-44, or 91, probably get one in January.

Can you tell I've been bitten by the milsurp bug? I've already done the deer rifle bit, lever action bit, 1911 .45 bit, shotguns don't appeal to me other than the 870 I have for dove/quail. I'm keeping the AR bug at bay as long as I can by buying these old milsurps and fixing them up, because I know once I get the Bushmaster I've been wanting, it will be all over, all my $ will be spent in ammo and accessories.

Next on the wish list: AR of some kind, WASR-10, Marlin Guide Gun 45/70, Sharps 45/70, Lyman Great Plains Rifle Kit .50 (already built the Plains Pistol and love that black powder stuff)...then of course, I've really been wanting to get a synthetic stocked Remington Model 7 in .260 Remington too, something about that cartridge has me interested....so many guns, so little time.

Well, I already have what's for me a "pretty good collection" -- 18 rifles, 9 handguns, 4 shotguns -- but then again, "enough" guns is always at least one more than I have...

That said, my next two will probabaly be:

• Mauser 98K, 8x57mm
• AK Romanian, 7.62x39mm

Then again, I have kind of a long "want" list so if I find a good deal on one of these, I'd get:
• Browning Hi-Power, 9mm
• Springfield XD-40, .40 S&W
• DSA FAL Para folder, 7.62x51mm
• Taurus 450 Ultra-Lite .45 Colt
• Marlin Camp Carbine .45 ACP
• Marlin 1895SS Guide Gun .45-70 Gov't
• Beretta 686/687 Silver Pigeon - or - Ruger Red Label engraved - or - Browning 525 Sporting 12 ga
• Ruger M77 - or - Remington 700 CDL - or - Savage 116FSAK, 7mm Rem Mag
• Sig P220, .45 ACP
• Colt or S&W 1917 .45 ACP
• Colt Python, Royal Blue, 6" bbl, .357 Mag
• Springfield M1A Loaded or Armscorp M14, 7.62x51mm
• Browning 1919, .30-06
• Win 1895 .405 Win -or- .30-06 -or- .35 Whelen
• Thompson M1927A1, .45 ACP
• Beretta Storm CX4, .45 ACP
• .45 upper for AR
• Ruger 10/22 Target, .22 LR, blued, bi-pod, trigger work, hi-mag scope, 2 extra mags
• M1919A4, 7.62x51mm
• PTR-91, 7.62x51mm
• Nagant M95, 7.62 Nagant
• Navy Arms Win 73 .44-40

I've been thinking about some plinking/paper punching rifles, and I still don't have any rifles between .22 and 7.62x54, so I looking at:

NEF Handirifle in .223
SKS

I'd like a .223, but I think EBRs are just ugly. Don't flame me  they're great weapons, but, like, there's no wood. For my use, a single-shot would be great, and the NEF's are supposed to be very accurate, especially for the price.

SKS, I also need a 7.62x39, and the AK family is too small. :( Maybe an AK/WASR with a longer stock, or an extension. After the SKS I'll have the ammo and probably start looking for an AK variant that fits.
