Well, since I got the gun ....

about 3 weeks ago or more .... no time or even the weather to get to the range ...... but today, despite near a foot of snow still on ground, decided to go ''paddle'' thru the snow at the range regardless, tho still short on time. At least it was warmer.
Only put 18 rnds thru and this was split between my fairly hot .357 loads (14 grns Vit N110 behind a cast gas check Lyman 158 SWC) and what I choose to call my P++ 38 loads (8.5grns Blue Dot behind same bullet .. 158 SWC gas check).
First couple of shots were to left in white .. adjusted sights generously and then got into black. One or two other shots went into white but, this was as much as anything due to that frustrating tendency for glasses to steam up in the corner, just as you are ready to release.... screwing up sight picture. So, there are 12 shots in the black and then some patched holes in the white. This was shot at 25 yds incidentally.
Interestingly, at this distance, the two loads have very similar POI .... and the hot 38 load is actually very comfortable compared with the slightly more ''brutal'' hottish .357 loads. I was reasonably satisfied with the results.
