I have acquired a Remington 722 that I'm considering rebarrelling to one of the WSM cartriges. Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not it can handle the pressures of the 300 WSM?

Also, I read that the 722 will fit in a 700 stock with some modification. I was wondering if anyone knew what the differences are, and what would need to be done to make it work.

Thanks

Pressure, si.
Bolt face?
Magazine?

I just recently READ in a MAGAZINE (so don't try to hold ME to it) that all that is needed to put a 722 in a 700 stock is to cut for the "lump" at the rear sight dovetail.

Should be able to open up the bolt face, it isn't that much of an increase. I'd planned on using a blind magazine. I'll have to look into that stock info some more, could save alot of time and money if I can start with a 700 stock.

Thanks
