Walther P99 finish

I know that the finish on the P99 is the same as the Glocks, but I was wondering how durable it is, and how resistant to holster wear it would be. I was thinking about the titanium coated, but I don't have a "black" gun, all mine are SS except the VEPR.

In the most recent Glock Annual, there was a torture test in which one of the pistols was left at the bottom of the ocean for 6 months. The only corrosion on the pistol occurred to the slide stop.
Not an expert, but I believe the SS/Titanium would be just as strong. My Glock only showed a bit of holster wear from the retention device that gripped the front of the trigger guard, but again, nothing to do with tennifer.
Good luck!

I have the regular "tennifer" finished P99. I didn't carry that often when I was in Virginia so there was no holster wear at all. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, my P99 was left in a New England garage for about a year. Afterwards, there were a few small spots of surface rust that were easily cleaned up and one tiny bit of pitting on the decocker. I was expecting a lot worse, so I'd say the finish held up extremely well.
