My Fiance's daughter just told us last night she's an army of one. Leaving the 29th for basic, going to be a field medic. She's 24 and has had it pretty rough. We're really proud of her. Please lend a prayer if you may. Thanks Mike and Barb.

Prayers for her!
My eldest son joined up 18 months ago and is a 91W-Combat Medic. He is shipping out with the 3rd ID for Iraq next month. Right now, he is proposing to a fine young woman he met in AIT stationed at Madigan Army hospital in Washington state. She is also a medical corpsman, and is in training to become a clinical specialist. Mary Ann is a member of the Army reserve from Tennessee, and I suspect will be part of a roundout for a division headed to the M.E. as well.
My son is putting the ring on her finger that my wife wore for all the happy years we had together-unfortunately, she passed on almost two years ago. Despite what some say about todays generation, these kids have as much guts as any-specifically because they have a choice as to whether or not they serve, and are some of the finest soldiers/marines/sailors and airmen I have met.

My prayers go out to you and her. I have freinds over there now, and some that recently got back. I appreciate what she is willing to do for us. Best of luck.

Good for her. Those of us with kids in the combat arms appreciate the caregivers just as much. It won't be easy, but worthwhile things never are.

Our prayers are with y'all, unclebriar. I'm sure that you've been a good influence for this young woman, probably more than you will ever know.
The accomplishments of our kids and stepkids are more important than our own. In my 50 years, nothing has made me prouder than pinning jump wings on my stepson's chest at Benning. He's out now but still making me proud.
And amen, Delmar!
Godspeed

I'm shipping out for Infantry OSUT in June. From one soldier to be to another, congratulations. I'll be sure to send up a prayer for her tonight.

Will keep her in our prayers. Thank her for me, if she is still around.
And Phantom Warrior, thank you also. 11B is a demanding job, for the young men.
