I have a G36 and G29. My wife has a G26. I like the 29 because I bought a custom .40S&W barrel for it. Now I have two guns in one!! :)

I've got a 19 and 27.

Got the 19 because it came with 2-15 round magazines and is a nice sized winter carry gun. Loaded with 15+1 of Winchester +P+ Rangers and 15 more in the other mag, and I feel pretty well protected.

Got the 27 on a impulse buy. It was a great deal and couldn't pass. It is quickly becoming my #1 carry piece. In a Sidearmor IWB holster, it is quite comfortable and concealable.

I want a 32. For some reason the .357Sig is calling my name. Guess it's the flame thrower effect.

Good luck.

I've owned a Glock 23. Sold it when I realized I didn't like the 40 S&W round. Had a Glock 17. Sold it when I couldn't find hi cap mags at a decent price. Had a Glock 21, that I sold after factory repaired it after it kaboomed on me. Currenlty own a 36. No need to hunt for hi caps, it's very compact, mild to shoot and it's a 45 acp.

I don't feel very well protected with only one gun, especially an automatic, regardless of how many rounds their magazine will hold.

I have only one Glock now. A third gen G19. I have done some work on the trigger system. It has a Cominolli trigger and trigger spring. A GCR tunned 3.5 connector and a LSI Ti striker. IMO about the best trigger you will get on a Glock.

I currently have a 19, 26 & 27. Glock is a reliable no frills self defense weapon. I like them all, the 27 is with me a lot, very small, potent and carries 10 + 1 with Pearce +1 mag ext.

Meow, IMHO one of the best things about Glocks is their reliability and toughness. They seem to be sort of a binary switch subject though. Either folks like them or hate them.

They are not extremely accurate, though it's a rare shooter who can shoot up to their Glock's capability. The trigger can be adjusted to suit, though it will never beat a 1911 or revolver. Sights can be switched out eaiser than most other HGs.

Best thing to do is shoot several and see for your self. I went through a G19 and decided I didn't care for them. Over the years I've picked up a GG19/26 and like them more and more.

Hmmmm.

Have had: Three G23s, two G23Cs, two G33s.
Still have: A G29 and a G30.

The thing I like about them is that they work and they are absolutely soulless. If I lose, drop or break one, who cares? They're going to uncrate a thousand more just like it in Smyrna tomorrow. They go *bang!* when I pull the trigger, the bullets go where I point them, they're as close to "maintenance free" as a gun can be this side of an AK-47; keep the bore punched and the striker channel clean and dry, add a smidgen of oil every leap year, and you're good to go. There's a lot to like about them, and nothing to love.

The thing I like about them is that they work and they are absolutely soulless.

Yep. Soulless. But mine work on time, every time, no questions asked. Mine are a 17 and a 26. I have no interest in a Glock in anything other than 9mm. The benefits are their reliability, and the fact that I can shoot it fast, even under the clock, and they are disposable. They are more accurate than I am (I think, not sure), if they get banged up no worries, plus they are no where near as cantankerous as my pa's 1911.

Actually, all 3 of "my" handguns are soulless tupperware. Parting with them would not put me out too much.

MEOW, any of the Glocks except any of the 40's. That unsupported chamber is just not cool. It is also a very sloppy chamber; double not cool. Just make sure you call Glock to make sure the serial number you are planning to buy is not a part of the "not a recall" RECALL. Unless you wish to wait who knows how long for a new frame from Austria.:)

Funny, when I actually measured the chambers on my Beretta 96D, my .40 SIG P-226, and my G23C, the Glock had neither the most exposed case area nor the loosest chamber. Go figure... ;)

But I read it on the Errornet!

But my G27 has been rock solid dependable since the day I bought it. It was the second pistol I purchased after getting my CCW. The only things I've done to my G27 is add night sights and put a pearce extender on one magazine. Not the +1, just a plain "pinky rest".
It's been a fine companion without a single malfunction in all this time.
Plus, I kinda LIKE the looks of my Glock. :) I reckon I've been shooting it since 1998. My wife, bless her golden heart, bought me a black shark skin Rafter Gun Leather 1.5 inch belt and holster set. :p

I have a Glock 17, 20, 21c, 22, 27x2 and a 29.
I had a Glock 30 and a Glock 36.

The second 27 is my wifes new carry gun.

Never a malfunction in any of them, the Glock 17 has been my duty gun for nigh on 12 years. Replaced next month with a dept issue Glock 22.
The Glock 27 has been an ankle gun for nigh on seven years.
The Glock 20 is my off duty gun.
The Glock 21c is my home defense gun.

I have two Deltas and several revolvers.
I love Sigs and Walthers, but currently don't have any.

My Glocks work well for me, I am not brand loyal, I am reliability loyal.
If they didn't work, I wouldn't own them.

17 and 34. Both purchased for USPSA, but carry both. Reliable, easy to trick up, and in reality a pretty sick trigger when I'm done with it. Don't want anymore unless they start talking single-stack 10mm compact.

Pro: Cheap 10rd mags. 16 bucks at Ivanhoes.

Con: Ridiculously priced full-caps, but I now have 9. If/when I get my LE/Gov't letter I may change my mind and buy a G35 and a ton of big mags. Same applies assuming stupid law dies.

Pro: If the mag says Glock it will be utterly reliable.

Con: :cuss: Stupid finger grooves! For a pistol I wasn't going to compete with I'd get a grip reduction done. (No, not Robar) My G17 GenII fits great, don't know why they went and ruined it.

Con: If you don't spend 50-150 bucks on new sights, you are a hopeless optimist, the stock sights will break/ fall off and just generally suck.

Con: Many people buy one Glock and think they know everything in the world about pistols. Not bad in itself, but most of them also bought one computer and choose to impart their wisdom on us.

Con: BS customer service. I'm sure actual service is ok, but the failure to call a spade a spade with regard to the various reca.. err, voluntary upgrades is rather troubling.

Pro: For a pistol with a frame cast in an easybake oven, it's very accurate.

Pro: points very nicely for me.

Pro: the 1911 of the plastic world, as in aftermarket stuff is widespread. Unlike the 1911, no one makes a better aftermarket mag though.

I have a Glock 17-never failed once. I got a great deal on it, and I took it to Glock and the head armorer was impressed with it. I took it there for the extended slide release. It sure was nice when he told me that after he put the extended slide release in, he checked the sights. He was so impressed with my gun's accuracy that he put an additional 15 rounds through it. All 15 went through the same hole at whatever distance they sight them in at. I feel pretty good when the people that built my gun are impressed with it.

I originally wanted a Glock 19 because it was easy to conceal and fit my hand nicely. I love 9mm because it is cheap to shoot, and I have access to some killer (no pun intended) 9mm ammo.

I shot a Glock 21 yesterday (.45 ACP) and it put a huge smile on my face. That gun is just too big though.

I want two Glock 22's (.40 S&W) with a dual draw sholder holster setup. I want the .40 because I also have access to some more killer .40 ammo. I would rather leave the 17 as a target gun and carry the 22's.

I hear the .357 sig Glocks are nice too.

Glocks are ugly, but they have never failed me. They work out of the box, and I live down the street from them. I can get night sites for $57 installed while I wait. I also take a lot of females shooting and they have no problems even with the full size 17. They are easy to learn, easy to shoot, and easy to maintain.

Oh, I almost forgot. I also own a Springfield 1911A1 9mm that I like too. I have problems with some ammo with 1911's which never occur in Glocks, YMMV. The recoil on my Glock is more to the back, so follow up shots are quicker. The 1911 jumps up and follow up shots are slow.

I have two Glock 19's and two Glock 21's. I also have this strange desire to have two of each pistol I have for self-defense, competition, etc.

I cannot ever remember having a problem with any of my Glock 19's (have had at least two others). No FTF, no FTF, no FTE, no failures period. And this is with several thousand rounds of UMC, Federal, WW, Fiocchi, and others.

Glocks do have soul - you just have to dig for it some times.

Owned G21 and G23. Why?

G21 - full-size .45 with high capacity. Mine was accurate and well-behaved.

G23 - first .40 I ever owned (and probably the last). I had jumped on the Glock bandwagon and just wanted to collect as many as I could afford.

Both were traded for my first love: 1911A1's. I have nothing against the Glocks. They're extremely durable, more accurate than I can manage to fully use, and IMHO are fabulous for every-day carry for self protection.

The only drawback, for me, is Glocks don't fit my hand very comfortably. I don't know why this is because I can carry and hold a 92FS just fine . . . just a personal preference on the feel, I guess.

Still have a 2nd generation G17, never has missed a beat, but got rid of a 19 and a 26 because both had jams on more then one occasion that were difficult to clear and caused me to loose confidence . Got rid of a 21 that was totally reliable but was too light for the caliber IMHO and the grip was too thick ( replaced with a 1911).

Own 2- G-23s and 1-G-19. For me the compact size is perfect. Like some of the other shooters, I like having 2 of the same model in the semi-autos, so I will probably pick up another G-19 down the road. Would like to try the G-30 and 29 out. The G-21 is just too big for my liking. Mine have been reliable and trouble free. I'm different, I always have been appealed by the looks of a Glock. They may not be as pretty as some guns on the outside, but they have an internal beauty that is evident everytime I shoot one.

First Glock is a Second Generation G19 and I love it. Got it on a good trade and have loved every minute of it. Does that mean that all my weapons will be Glocks, No but this one I do love.

Other than a 10MM Glock I dont think I want another one. Variety is the spice of life.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/p6519da72137d33a220e4d4401b86fced/fcf6b398.jpg

I have a G17L and am very happy with it. During the first ~200rds I had some problems with jams that quickly disappeared. I still get stoppages with the short Magtech 95gr JSPs, but it seems that I and my grip of the pistol is to blame.

G21.

Completely reliable and accurate. I'm closing in on 200K rounds, and have it in semi-retirement. No substantive wear.

I bought it just to demistify the Glock phenomonon. It's my "outdoors/ hiking/ photography" carry gun, for times I don't want to carry my USPc or my Kimber Stainless Compact.

I have three, all sequential models: a G19, a G20, and a G21. Had a G23 that went in on trade for the 21.

Of the three, my G19 is my CCW. My G21 is my home-defense pistol. And my G20 is my competition pistol.

Have never been concerned with their "soulless" nature. They always work, and are always accurate, and they all hold lots of ammo. Although I am comfortable with many pistols, 1911s, revolvers, etc., and I never feel underweaponed with any of them, if push comes to shove, you'll likely find a Glock in my hand.

What I like about the Glock the most is the way it performs in my hands. But its the combination of all these things too...

1. Its Simplicity which is crucial in any defense situation.

2. Reliability is always at the top with the best of them.

3. Durability. Again at the top with the best of them

4. Price. Still relatively cheaper than most quality defense guns. Mags, accessories, and parts are also easy to find and often inexpensive.

5. Easy to Fix (if they do have probs) No need to send it back to the manufacturer. Certified Glock Armorers often hang out at your local range. And compared to other guns the layman can easily learn to fix it themselves.

6. Consistent Trigger: Only SA autos like 1911's, BHP's or something like the H&K P7 can provide a consistent trigger from the very crucial first shot to the last.

7. Resistant to Weather and Neglect (better than most). Polymer and Tenifer. 'Nuff said.

8. Variety. If you're a fan of the Glock system you can find the pistol in virtually every caliber and configuration. From the big G20/21 to the diminutive but potent G27/26.

9. Compact guns are truly compact and relatively slim. In my experience the G19/23 are easier to conceal than competitors like Sig P229 or H&K USP/C.

10. Lots of Glocks in service with Law Enforcement Agencies and the #'s seem to be growing. The Glock design may not be "proven" like the 1911 or BHP. But so far its on its way to making its own history. The "Best"? No. "Perfect"? No. But for someone who's buying blind they can do a lot worse.

Gosh, I didn't mean to go on like this. For self defense I like Glocks in 9mm, .40, and .45. In .357 Sig I prefer Sig pistols. Generally I don't feel the need for 10mm since the other calibers provide enough variation and levels of power for a handgun.

*Oh, and "soulless"? I'd re-examine my priorities in a defense gun. Get a target 1911 or Colt SAA so you can examine its "soul" at your whim.

Glocks can't be Satan's favorite gun - not when Preacherman owns so many of them! :D I'm up to 8 now... 2 x G19's, 1 x G23, 1 x G27, 1 x G30, 1 x G31, 1 x G33, 1 x G36.

I use the G19's as training guns - going through several thousand rounds of 9mm. each year is MUCH cheaper than doing the same with larger calibers. I mostly carry the G23 or G27 or G33. (I want a second G23 or a G32 to make a pair in this size, as .40 S&W and/or 357 SIG are my preferred carry calibers.) The two .45's (G30 and G36) aren't carried as much, but I like the caliber, so... The G31 was a recent acquisition, but is a bit big for carry, hence it may be traded soon for a G23 or G32.

I've also bought additional Jarvis match barrels (lovely accuracy!) so that all my .40 S&W's can fire 357 SIG and vice versa. These barrels also take care of the unsupported-chamber problem sometimes seen with Glocks.

Gasp! Shock! Horror! DeltaElite, you're right - not a 10mm. among them! How could I have been so careless? :uhoh: I shall have to remedy the situation at once! :D

Actually, I used to own a G29, and was very fond of it: but getting decent ammunition at a reasonable price was a pain in the posterior... so I swapped it with a friend as part of a multiple-gun, three-way exchange. Also, the shot-to-shot recovery time with snappy 10mm. defensive ammo. left something to be desired (in my hands, anyway, with that gun), so I think I'm better served by reasonably powerful, yet less "kicky", calibers like .40 S&W and 357 SIG.

I now own a G30 (.45) and G27 (.40)

I want a G29 (10mm) sometime soon.

Why? The list is so long....

I love their simplicity.

I love having no manual safety to mess with.

I think that their "ugliness" is beauty. They are tools, designed to be used. They excel at their job.

They are one of the most durable pistols available.

They are one of the most low-maintenance pistols available.

They are an incredibly accurate pistol. (Both myself and a certain mod. here shot better with my G30 than with his Valtro! But don't tell him I said that..... ;) )

As said, keep the striker channel clean, and they will serve you well.

They are wonderful guns.

What's not to like?
