OK, I know there are varying opinions on this gun but when I saw the Smith and Wesson Thunder Ranch .44 in American Handgunner, I had to have one. After nearly two months of waiting, I picked it up last night.
I've not shot it yet so I can't give you range report. I can tell you that it is a beautiful gun, blued to an almost black finish. The grips are great--they fit the hand and the gun has great pointability.

Good for you! I drooled over that article too.
Is it going to be mostly a safe queen or are you going to take it out to play often?

I can't afford to have guns I don't shoot! I may even carry it if I can find some leather that won't bankrupt me.
