armedcitizen December 16, 2004, 10:43 PM OK, I know there are varying opinions on this gun but when I saw the Smith and Wesson Thunder Ranch .44 in American Handgunner, I had to have one. After nearly two months of waiting, I picked it up last night.
I've not shot it yet so I can't give you range report. I can tell you that it is a beautiful gun, blued to an almost black finish. The grips are great--they fit the hand and the gun has great pointability.
Here are some pics:

fulloflead December 17, 2004, 12:06 AM Good for you! I drooled over that article too.
Is it going to be mostly a safe queen or are you going to take it out to play often?
armedcitizen December 17, 2004, 12:27 AM I can't afford to have guns I don't shoot! I may even carry it if I can find some leather that won't bankrupt me.
Gordon December 17, 2004, 12:29 AM Uh, why don't you show the left side? :p

Standing Wolf December 17, 2004, 09:03 PM The Thunder Ranch logotype isn't large enough to hide the gun.

Nice piece.

Matt G December 19, 2004, 03:05 PM An imminently practical carry firearm. PLEASE shoot it and don't let it become a safe queen. Honorable wear from carry is not to be ahamed of.
