Hello, I am going to be aquiring an Encore Pistol in a week or so. I have looked at sites to find out about different barrels and now I am pretty confused on legalistic stuff. What is the longest barrel that I can legally put on it? 15"? If I ever got a notion to put a stock on it I would legally have to get all new barrels correct? Thanks.

A 16" barrel is the minimum legal length if you put a shoulder stock on it. There is no legal maximum.

Just make sure if you're going to swap from pistol to rifle, buy a frame that's registered as a pistol. Keeps everything nice and clean.

I'm getting a pistol frame. I probabaly never will put a stock on it just wondering. Reason I asked all this is I saw a barrel for sale in .308 that said it was illegal to put it on a pistol.

Sounds like they've got the law bassackwards. Easy enough to do.
