Has anyone on this site tried this product:

Wipe Out (http://www.sharpshootr.com)

I am testing it out on my Dad's old No.1 Enfield and my Blackhawk. So far I am pretty amazed.

According to the can it says it contains monoethanolamine. It has a very slight ammonia smell, but it says it contains no ammonia. I will let the chemists on the board let us know what that is... Usually amines are good at combining with other materials.

The foam is turning very blue in the Enfield right now and the bore of the revolver where the foam is pulled back looks cleaner than it was new...

I will see if I can post some pictures. Too bad I don't have a before shot...

I bought this can at Sportsmen's Warehouse...

I use and like it. Great for the days when I take several rifles out. Not sure what the stuff is made of. It hasn't damaged any of the finishes on my milsurps, including Tung oil and Ivan's shellac job.

I don't use it for heavy fouling though. Just routine shooting.

May switch to Gunscrubber foam. Bought some 'cause the gunstore was out of Wipeout. Seems to work better and faster than Wipeout.

I have been using birchwood casey gunscrub, and like it...it just knocks me out, when smelling it...am going to look for the 'wipe out" stuff, and give it a try....thanks for the heads up desert dog....I like the idea, of the changing colors, on the patch. Arc-Lite

I use non-clorinated brake cleaner on my brass brushes. Makes them look brand new.
