Jim Watson December 18, 2004, 09:57 PM Mercury works, but it's toxic. A Lewis Lead Remover works, but it's something to buy. Shreds of copper Chore Boy scrubber wrapped around a brush does pretty well and is cheap. JB Bore cleaner gets out the last bits and polishes the barrel so it will lead less. ksnecktieman December 18, 2004, 10:06 PM Shoot it out with a few full metal jacketed bullets? It worked for a buddies glock. drj3828 December 18, 2004, 10:51 PM If it is a stainless steel one you can make 50/50 mix Hydrogen Peroxide and Vinegar and soak it for about 30 min and the lead will just fall out. But do not use this on a plain steel barrel it will stain it and make it look like crap. Dennis Bill Z December 18, 2004, 11:04 PM Lewis lead remover, very inexpensive, very effective, very easy to use. Try this link Lewis Lead Remover (http://handgunsandammo.proboards36.com/index.cgi?board=smithing&action=display&num=1102899531) CZguy December 19, 2004, 10:06 AM Thank you all very much! Great advice :) BEARMAN December 19, 2004, 01:44 PM Klean-bore makes LEAD AWAY PATCHES a moist patch that removes lead. Should be available at any store that handles KLEAN-BORE products.
