870 barrel interchangability?

Is that a word? Anyway, I have a 870 magnum with 19.5" barrel.

I might be trading barrel on for 18" 870 express barrel.

Just wanted to comfirm that they will switch with no problems. Thanks!

Yup, no problem. Supermag is the exception to that rule.

If you blindfolded me and handed me either one, I couldn't tell by handling or effect.

Other guy wants a longer one, I'd be happy with 18".

NOW a really silly question-

Where do you measure length of 8700 barrel? I ran a tape from muzzle to point where receiver/barrel intersect. Distance is 19.5".

I've never heard of 19.5" barrel. Am I measuring correct dimensions? Thanks!

Stick the tape down the barrel and the distance from the bolt face to the end of the barrel is the proper barrel length. You have a 20" barrel.
