Should I do it!!! I'm going for the non pistol grip, rifled sight "Tactical" version.

I've got one in the basement right now (not mine, sadly.) It's pretty nice. It has the pistol grip stock, which I kinda like - easier to hold the gun up while stuffing shells into it. Wish i could get one for my Franchi...

I just got a Benelli M1 Tactical (PG & GR) Sunday. My first 12 Gauge (not including the one I traded for an AK & SKS), now I just have to learn to shoot it right... turns out placement of stock on your shoulder is VERY important. :banghead: (or more like placing it on your shoulder, not your arm or where your arm & shoulder join. they aren't as forgiveful as AR15s or other lower recoiling rifles)

Common sense to everyone else... but when I did it right.. very plesent.

I don't know about their use as tactical weapons, but I used to have an M1 Super 90 field model and was extremely impressed with it. I gobbled up every type of ammo I fed it and it never malfunctioned. All told, I put about 4000 shells through it, mostly waterfowl hunting (aka - it got dirty).
