Other than the Norinco Ithaca 37 clone, were there any other shotguns with a 19 inch barrel length from the factory? Seems kind of an in-between length.

18" is the legal limit. Gunsmiths who cut down a longer barrel usually make it 18 1/2" just in case the ATF has a different tape measure !!

Good points about proper measurements on bbl length ...ATF and their "rulers" ( pun intended) or wanting to "rule" ( pun again).
I like 21" and 23" personally when I cut one down, and do external knurled chokes. I figure it will piss off any ATF or other Folks down the road in the event they change the law to ban short SG bbls. Yeah - I think out of the box, I can foresee "civilians" not needing SG bbls of 18"- 20" .
"...honest officer, just a bird gun. no sidesaddle, no mag extensions...just a bird gun with a 21" or 23" bbl - oh I got the idea from "cataloged bird/ turkey/ guns". :D
