Just a little guy I came accross in central MN (Motley) this year. Taken with a Styre Scout in .243 from a 16ft tree stand over looking a stream that breaks heavy woods at ~ 30 yrds.

That's a nice one David .... wish I'd lucked out this season ..... well, not yet!
BTW, the ''Commemorative'' still sits happily gracing my wall ... and remains unfired but - heck, is it ever tempting!!
Best

Hope you and yours are doing well sir. Resist the temptation to fire that gem! And if your ever going to sell it, I want first option back on it. Im in better shape now... ;)
That may be the deer of my life so I had to post it for the world to see...

Indeed - will let you know if I decide to move it on. Difficult decision (as I guess it was for you) - because on the one hand ... it is a daily pleasure to see it - on the other, with what I would like to get in coming weeks, I really should be sensible and just accept that I have had a year's enjoyment.
I guess if you had it for what I gave - then we'd both only be out the shipping. Hmmmm ...... tricky! :)

Since I dont hand-load, Im not super duper particular about an exact load. For deer, I've been using 243 Winchester 95 gr. SupremeĀ® Ballistic SilvertipĀ® http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/cfrdetail.aspx?symbol=SBST243A&cart=MjQzIFdpbmNoZXN0ZXI=&type=32
3 to 4 inch drop at 300 yrds and still packing 1300 Ft Lbs of energy. Thats plenty for a hack like me... I like to use 'just enough' bullet and gun to get the job done.

I got him on nov 26 close to LaCrosse, WI. I just got very lucky! We knew he was around as we had trail cam pics from 2 weeks before season showing him.
