Just picked up a 24" barrel Benelli Nova 12 gague in Timber HD camo at Dick's Sporting Goods this weekend. Locals are selling 'em for 450$. The last time I went to Dick's they were 380$. This time they were 350$, and after some haggling with the manager I got the 4-day old display model for 330$.

It seems to be AWESOME. The new camo pattern killer. So far I've got a box of Winchester Supreme 3"mag#4s, and the same thing in 3.5"#4s. Also put on a Hi-Viz TriViz turkey sight.

So what do I need to know about these things? I'm kinda wary about touching off those 3.5". Where can I get a recoil reducer that goes in the stock?

Sounds like it looks good. Let's see how it shoots. I suggest running a few boxes of lighter loads through it before uncorking the barnburners.

Is this for Turkey? If so, chances are there's a very good load out there for this in a case shorter than 3.5". Try some of the Remington Hevi Shot turkey loads, and the Federal 3" lead 4s or 5s.

You're going to need a long Phillips head to install the recoil reducer bracket.

This tells about the recoil reducer------Also, click the dealer locator to find a dealer close by----if they don't have the parts you want---they should be able to order them for you.

why are the mag extensions so expensive? After all, they're just a tube, clamp, and spring, right?

Probably because it's for a Benelli!:D Brand names like that add 100% mark-up for the name. :what:

Of course, the Winchester Defender already comes with an extended magazine...:D
