The guy at my local supply store swears by Herco powder for the .45. I'm using 230 gr. Jacketed Bullets. He says that I will get great results using 7.0 - 7.3 grains. He gave me a 50% discount on a pound of the powder. Does anyone use Herco for loading 230 gr .45 caliber bullets?

I have used Herco with good results in 45,40 and 9.It is a superb 38 Special powder. Find some of the older manuals,Sierra #2 and Hornady #3.Work loads up with caution and each time you get a new can of powder.Byron
